Dedication:
For my God. For my hubby.
And for the Peacemakers,
the ones who are trying to stretch their hearts
to love everything.
If you’re new here:
The Fields of Asphodel is my awkward attempt at cosy horror.
So do let me know how it’s making you feel xD Features cosy days in a mostly autumnal and wintry landscape, a possibly (obviously) haunted mansion, farmers markets, (mostly) friendly ghosts, and a Hinterland Wooly Cow* …who somehow knows more than everyone else in the story hurhur…
*similar to Scottish Hairy Coos but bred to have softer fur for wool
Ah yes. There may be dragons.
Summary:
Delilah, a lady of the King’s Court, believes that she is escaping the overwhelming demands of politics and court life when she finds work as a helper to a grave keeper in the Hinterlands. She finds that she has to adjust to more than just the work of a grave keeper…
Peter, a Hinterland cattle farmer, trying to make ends meet as a plague hits the cattle farms in the Hinterlands… while at the same time attempting to figure out what sort of witchery is going on up in the Mansion where the town’s grave keeper lives.
